A fresh yellow and a fine scent of pear, banana and melon. It is stimulating, full of finesse, delicately spicy and with a lovely melt. The name of this popular grape variety sounds promising and is music to the ears of many wine lovers.
The grape variety has high demands on the location. Therefore, exposed, warm locations with deep soil are particularly suitable. The south-facing vineyard in Gerlachsheim offers the best conditions for this local wine.
Great Chardonnays grow all over the world. But what makes them so special? The “cool climate” and the shell limestone soil produce particularly delicate and elegant white wines with a moderate alcohol content. Usually dry, delicate aromas of melons and exotic fruits unfold, with a slightly buttery, nutty note. On the palate, it is very smooth, full-bodied and long-lasting.
